Tokyo 2019
In 2019, I returned to Tokyo for my fourth visit to Japan. While the city was familiar, my perspective was entirely new. This trip marked the first time I traveled with photography as my primary purpose, allowing me to slow down and truly observe the urban landscape.
The images in this collection capture the pulse of Shinjuku, moving from the smoky, nostalgic alleyways of Omoide Yokocho to the neon-lit intensity of Kabukicho. Through the lens, I sought to document the contrast between the intimate and the chaotic that defines Tokyo’s nights.
